Census

Because Americans have an innate distrust for their government, history teachers in Rogers are required to talk to our students about the importance of filling in and returning their census this month. (Larger population in Rogers = more federal money for Rogers schools.) The idea is that the kids will go home and convince their parents to fulfill their constitutional duty.

Scene: Room 105, Mrs. Sims is posing some hypothetical questions to her students.

Mrs. Sims: What kinds of things would a town need if the census finds that the town has a particularly young population?

Student 1: Parks.

Student 2: Schools.

Student 3: Youth Centers.

Mrs. Sims: Yes, good thinking.

Mrs. Sims: What kinds of things would a town need if it is found that the town has an older population?

Student 4 (in all seriousness): Golden Corrals--you're gonna need lots of Golden Corrals Mrs. Sims. Old people love Golden Corral.

True! Grandma loves nothing better than a buffet....unless that would be the "Village Inn" for breakfast

Kristina, I think we ate at one in Branson when we were there. Many different food stations and you just walk around and serve yourself. One price...all you can eat.
